Easy Green Creamy Chutney

Easy Green Creamy Chutney

Not the traditional chutney you expect but a creamy chutney made with avocado, cilantro, lime, and garlic. Inspired by Minimalist Baker to add avocado!

.

Prep time: 10 minutes
Serves: 8 servings

.

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups loosely packed fresh cilantro (tender stem are ok to use)
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 Tbsp lime juice
1-2 tsp sweetener (maple syrup or agave nectar)
2 pcs ripe avocado (medium or small size, depends on creaminess you desire)
1 Jalapeño (optional to use green chilli)
2-3 tbsp Water (just enough to make blender going)

METHOD:

  1. To start making the chutney, add all ingredients to a blender or food processor (or use a mortar and pestle) and mix to combine.
  2. Add just enough water to start blending and make the sauce pourable. If it gets too thin, thicken with more avocado or cilantro. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed, adding more chilli if you like it spicy.
  3.  Enjoy this creamy chutney with dosa, sweet potato, cauliflower "steak" or next to our Vegan Biryani Rice
